Al explains how our interactive workshops, drawn from real-world high-pressure environments, can help your team get the skills and mindset to thrive.

Fear. Anxiety.
Overwhelm. Stress.

A shift in your team’s perspective, thinking and approach to a challenging situation will ensure it can quickly adapt, stay resilient, and thrive through uncertainty, disruption and change. Have you begun to develop these in your team?

“Transformational. Invigorating. Reflective.”

- Laura Burton, Surgical Trainee NHS Wales

FAQs

  • Perform is ideal for formed, high-performing teams who want to develop the right mindset and specific skill sets to boost their competitive advantage. Your team needs established high levels of trust and should already exhibit a collaborative mindset in their work and when facing challenges. And because our workshops are targeted at specific areas, this should be an area you’ve identified needs developing in your team. This way, everyone gets loads out of the day and energised to apply and practice these new skills when they return to work.

  • We recommend 5 - 30 people. Anymore and we have found that it’s too big and you lose a sense of cohesion around the activities we deliver, what you are discovering, and the conversations in the reflection periods. Ideally you want people from across the team so that knowledge and skills are distributed throughout the team and becomes ‘business as usual’ much quicker. However, if you do want to take more people through one of our workshops, please contact us to see how we can help you.

  • We’re not trying to be secretive. We just need to understand the scope and scale of your Perform workshop. What’s your budget? How many people do you wish to attend? Do you want to come to Chilmark or for us to visit a location of your choosing? Once we understand these details, we can give you a tailored price, where you know you’re getting great value for your money.

  • Ideally, you’ll visit us at our base near Chilmark for your workshop. It’s located in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and has a wonderful rustic feel that makes it a great venue to get away from work, digital devices, and human distractions, to learn these new skills for your team to take away and work on. We can also visit your place of work but would recommend that you look for a venue that doesn’t distract you from the day or pull people back into work ‘stuff’.

  • No. Critically, we need to understand why and what you want to achieve from working with us. This includes your desired outcomes and development objectives, and how you want your workshop to influence and impact on the team’s performance and culture. Secondly, we are very careful who we work with and need to establish your motivation for wanting to work with us - end of year spend doesn’t really cut it and there must be genuine buy-in across your team.

  • Firstly, call us to discuss your needs. This is for us to understand what you want to get out of Connect. From there, we can suggest scaled options that works within your budget. We’re not salesy and we won’t ‘pitch-slap’ you at any point. Our conversation is purely exploratory, and you are under no obligation to take it any further if you don’t feel that we’re a good fit for you. Likewise, if we do not feel you’re a good fit for us, we’ll be happy to signpost you to another provider in our extensive network.

“Challenging, validating, meaningful and fun”

"Dark Swan was a life changing opportunity for me. I’ve worked in the NHS for 27 years and I’ve been in a position of leadership for all but 10 of them .. yet I would say that this is the first time I’ve really recognised the value of the leader in me"

- Clea Atkinson, Consultant in Supportive and Palliative Care
